YANG SHI YONG
Shi Yong specialises in enterprise tax risk management and tax audit and investigation matters. He is deeply appreciated by his clients for his well-rounded knowledge of tax law and strong management skills. His vast experience in tax investigation matters include representations of professionals, a Chartered Accountant, a prominent local concert promotion group, several ship-broking companies, contract manufacturing companies, and trading companies. He successfully resolved these matters without prosecution. He is also regularly asked to advise on and make submissions to the Comptroller of Income Tax on corporate income tax matters, exchange of information requests from foreign tax authorities, goods and services tax matters, and customs and excise duty matters.
Shi Yong’s other key strength lies in oil and gas matters. He regularly advises national oil and gas companies on downstream oil and gas matters, such as joint venture arrangements, supply and trading transactions, crude and product swap transactions, and strategic reserve procurement arrangements. He has also advised on refinery infrastructure and assets, storage, various aspects of production sharing agreements and off-take and supply agreements, the corporate governance of oil and gas companies, and day-to-day commercial and operational matters.
