OSH is pleased to announce that Guo Jiawen has joined the firm as Counsel. Prior to joining OSH, Jiawen was a Senior Associate at Baker & McKenzie.Wong & Leow. Jiawen has worked on various complex estate and succession planning projects for high net worth families in the region. This includes advising families on the establishment of trusts to hold bankable and non-bankable assets such as operating businesses on a cross-border basis.
Jiawen’s background in tax law is a great advantage to her wealth management practice and has allowed her to advise clients on tax matters, in addition to trust and estate planning issues. With the growing interest in philanthropy in the region, her expertise also extends to advising corporates and individuals on the regulatory and tax considerations of establishing charitable structures.
Additionally, Jiawen works with private banks and institutional clients to develop their products and provide advice on their duties and obligations as fiduciaries, while protecting their interests.
Recently ranked by the Legal500 as a “Next Generation Lawyer for Private Wealth”, Jiawen will be heading the Trust and Asset Protection Advisory wing at OSH.
